Le Fanu was opened during the 50th Anniversary Celebration of the schools opening. It was named
"Le Fanu" in honour of Archbishop Le Fanu who, in 1929, as Co-adjutor Bishop of Brisbane and Warden of the Society of the Sacred Advent, had been largely instrumental in the foundation of St Aidan's Anglican Girls' School.
Originally built to house the Junior School from grades 3 to 7, the Primary library and some staff room space.
