The Sisters purchased Mr E. MacArthur’s large timber Queensland home, built in 1904, situated on the corner of Harrowby and Ruthven Streets (originally Alfred and Arthur Streets). It was only minutes’ walk from Corinda Railway Station, and so an ideal location for a school. The house was called Ambiwerra. The L-shaped home had large internal rooms and wide verandahs. Surrounded by two acres of grounds with large mango tree, camphor laurels and arbours of wisteria. A basketball court and a tennis court were added.
