The school community fundraised for 19 years to build a swimming pool. It was only after a generous bequest from Mr J W Fletcher that it became a reality. The pool was opened on Saturday, 22nd April1967.
The P&F provided the funds for the dressing sheds and the Old Girls’ Association provided the eight starting blocks for the pool.
